DiMarzio's PAF Joe neck-position humbucker developed specifically for Joe Satriani. Joe was seeking a pickup that took the best bits of the PAF Pro and merged them with Joe's favorite parts of the classic late-'50s humbucker. The resulting pickup was described by Joe as being "tubular" - low notes are articulated more clearly and high notes have a rounder tone.
